Native Plant Sale:
Head over to the main entrance of the Brownstone Trail and enjoy the native plant garden that welcomes visitors. Landmark staff will be present to talk about native plants, the Brownstone Trail, and our plans for its restoration. In addition, Landmark will be partnering with Wildflower Woods, who will be hosting a native plant sale at this stop, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Landmark. More than 40 species of native flowers, grasses, and sedges will be available for sale. If you’re interested in planting your own pollinator-friendly, native plant garden this year, be sure to stop by!
Brownstone Trail Hikes:
Landmark Staff will be leading two walks on the Brownstone Trail during the event. This first hike will depart from the plant sale at 11am and the second will depart at 1pm. Each hike will be 1-2 miles in length and last approximately 1 hour.
Hikes depart from the Brownstone Trailhead in Bayfield. We’ll meet by Landmark’s booth and native plant sale for the garden tour stop for an out-and-back hike of approximately 2 miles. Learn about northern forest communities, birds, and the trail restoration during this casual hike.
