There are two native plant gardens on the town side of the Brownstone Trail that provide habitat and food for pollinators and migratory birds. These gardens require annual maintenance to keep them healthy and beautiful. At this workday we will be cutting back old vegetation, weeding, and laying down new mulch.
Location: Bayfield, WI. Park at DNR Field Station and walk to the trailhead.
What to Bring: Work clothes, boots, gloves, and a water bottle. Any favorite gardening tools including shovels, trowels, and kneeling pads.
Amenities: Bathrooms are available on-site. Water and snacks are provided.
