Join Landmark staff and Trek & Trail Outfitters for a three-hour sea kayaking trip to gain a different perspective of the Brownstone Trail! We’ll discuss the current status of the Brownstone Trail, and our vision for its future. You’ll learn about the geology of the shoreline, and the challenges it presents to re-opening the trail. Along the way, you’ll see the Finn McCool shipwreck and the towering sandstone cliffs of Bayfield. You’ll marvel at Bayfield’s beauty from the water, learn about notable features of the town’s present, and hear stories of the town’s past.
All participants will be in tandem sea kayaks for safety. The paddle is approximately 3 miles in length and is rated as easy.
If the trip needs to be cancelled due to high winds, waves, or storms producing thunder and/or lightning, guests will have the ability to reschedule, obtain a credit towards a future trip of the same value, or receive a full refund. Landmark Conservancy must cancel the trip for guests to be eligible for these options.
