Ice Age Trail Hike & Spur Trail Celebration!

August 6 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Event Description:

Join Landmark and the Chippewa Moraine Chapter of the Ice Age Trail to celebrate a new spur trail created last summer under the leadership of Eagle Scout Jacob Collis.
We’ll explore a section of the trail going west of the Obey Center. The hike is 2 miles up and down hills and past glacial kettle lakes and ponds to Landmark’s Chippewa Glacial Lakes property on Horseshoe Lake. We will take the new spur trail that connects the Ice Age Trail to the Dispersed Camping Area and hear about Jacob’s project, as well as land protection efforts in the greater Chippewa County area.

You can choose to be shuttled back to the start by car or make it a 4-mile round trip hike and head back by trail. This area of Sampson Township has Landmark’s highest density of conservation projects to date, totaling nearly 3,000 acres.
