Event Description:
Join Landmark staff and Trek & Trail Outfitters for a three-hour sea kayaking trip on Lake Superior! This is a great opportunity for first-time kayakers or anyone who has wanted to kayak on the Big Lake but hasn’t had the chance.
Leaving Bayfield, we’ll paddle south, where rugged brownstone cliffs and forests meet impossibly clear water. Along the way, you’ll see the Finn McCool shipwreck and other relics of local history. You’ll marvel at Bayfield’s beauty from the water, learn about notable features of the town’s present, and hear stories of the town’s past. Landmark Conservancy’s work with the beloved Brownstone Trail that runs along the shoreline will also be discussed. The paddle is approximately 3 miles in length and is rated as easy.
If the trip needs to be canceled due to high winds, waves, or storms producing thunder and/or lightning, guests can reschedule, obtain a credit towards a future trip of the same value, or receive a full refund. Landmark Conservancy must cancel the trip for guests to be eligible for these options.
