Explore nature in the winter season on this snowshoe hike in eastern Eau Claire County! Learn about winter ecology, tree identification, and signs of wildlife such as animal tracks with staff from two environmental nonprofits in the Chippewa Valley – Landmark Conservancy and Beaver Creek Reserve. Participants will begin in an open prairie and then venture into the woods and back to a creek. Adult and children’s snowshoes available – please indicate during registration. In the case of insufficient snow, this will be a winter hike.Henke Acres is protected in perpetuity by Landmark Conservancy and owned/managed by Beaver Creek Reserve. Please note there are no bathrooms available on site.
