Birdwatching, Hunting, and Hiking
This property is bordered by Hwy 37 and County Road Z on two sides. There is a parking area with a trail leading into the prairie. Trails traverse the property taking visitors through prairie habitat, past a small grove of oaks, along a woodland edge, and into the woods on the southern part of the property. Part of the property was previously a pine plantation which was harvested in 2018. Since then, prairie restoration has been underway. Woods surrounds the prairie on two sides. West Creek flows through the southern part of the property and is a tributary to the Chippewa River. It is not a trout stream. There is also a small pond on the property. No trails lead directly to the water on the property. This is a great property to walk your dog, observe prairie species, and bird watch!
