Property Description:

As of November 2023, this 192-acre forested wetland property with one-half mile of beach front on Lake Superior is open to the public and part of the Brule River State Forest! This property is perfect for visitors who enjoy a more wild and scenic adventure. There are no maintained trails or signage; be prepared to navigate off trail and in wet conditions. Consider bringing a compass as cell phone service may not be available. Upon making it to Lake Superior’s shore, carefully navigate down the steep slope to the expansive beach. Maybe pack a picnic! There is not easy access for canoe/kayak launch, however, the property can be accessed from the water. Excellent for bird watching! Refer to the DNR website for hunting regulations.

 

Directions:

From the town of Port Wing, Wisconsin, travel west approximately 8 miles on Highway 13. The property is on the north side of Highway 13.

Parking and Access:

Road access is via Highway 13. You can pull into the grass driveway.
