Description:

Enjoy walking along the Siskiwit River and over boardwalks at this 102-acre preserve near Cornucopia. Listen to the cascading waterfalls or fish at the kettle hole. Water from the property flows north through a coastal estuary before emptying into Siskiwit Bay in Lake Superior. Hiking trails total approximately 0.8 miles. This property was conserved in 2018.

88555 Siskiwit Falls Rd, Cornucopia, WI 54827

From Cornucopia, head east on County Rd. C. Turn left on Siskiwit Falls Road. Travel less than a quarter mile and watch for two parking areas on the left. The second parking area is after the river crossing and is the main entrance.

Use and Safety Guidelines during COVID-19

Our trails and preserves are currently open to the public; this is subject to change if overuse becomes an issue.

Please abide by social distancing and consider the following guidelines:

If the parking lot is full, the trail is full. Have a plan B and C. Consider waiting or seeking another place to be outdoors.
Do not use the trails if you have symptoms, have traveled recently, or have been exposed to a known or suspected case of COVID-19. Consider wearing a mask.
Stay six feet away from other people. Practice it and know what it looks like. Maintain this as you walk or hike.
Warn other trail users of your presence and step off trails to allow others to pass, keeping minimum recommended distances at all times. Signal your presence with your voice or bell.
To reduce the risk of injury and potential stress to our local healthcare system if you are injured while hiking, be prepared for uncertain trail conditions. Wear sturdy footwear and consider using poles if you have them. Stay within your comfort zone; don’t be afraid to turn around. Stick to easy trails.
Keep dogs on the leash. This will prevent inadvertent close contact with others.
Practice Leave No Trace. Carry in, carry out.
