A Message From Our Leadership
Landmark Conservancy is an impact-oriented organization that prides itself on high-quality land protection projects and experiences with partners and landowners. We are actively expanding our land portfolio, building the financial reserves necessary to oversee our properties and effectively steward our Conservation Easements, and engaging with landowners to consider new land protection options.
Our Strategic Plan has one clear focus: we must grow as an organization as we work in partnership across northwest Wisconsin to protect some of the most important conservation lands and waters in the state. These special, resilient landscapes deserve protection!

Our Guiding Principles
Mission Statement
Conserve Wisconsin’s natural legacy for everyone… forever
Vision Statement
Wisconsin — we see a landscape with wild and scenic places conserved and accessible to people for generations to come.
Our community — we see a network of well-funded and sustainable programs working together with our partners, private and public landowners, and passionate, engaged citizens to preserve the natural and scenic places we cherish.
Landmark Conservancy — we see a respected land trust working creatively and cooperatively with diverse partners in building a community of stewardship for special places in our perpetual care.
Ethics and Values
We are committed to the highest professional standards, as demonstrated by our steadfast adherence to Land Trust Standards and Practices.
We will cultivate trust by fulfilling our perpetual obligations to safeguard the land we protect.
We see collaboration with communities and conservation partners as being key to our effectiveness. Our work will connect people to the land, and people to people. By forging deeper connections to communities within our service area through land protection we help address their needs and challenges.
We will provide excellent stewardship by utilizing the best available conservation science to set priorities, make decisions, take action and measure results.
Through inclusiveness and diversity, our enduring conservation success will involve people and partners whose lives and cultures are linked to natural systems we seek to conserve.
