Event Description:

Wake up with the birds at Elk Creek Bottoms Preserve! Local birding enthusiast and Citizen Science & Education Director at Beaver Creek Reserve Jeanette Kelly will join us to point out birds and teach us some tips and tricks to birding. We will stop to identify spring wildflowers along the way too. This will be an approximately 1-½ hour hike followed by breakfast burritos and coffee donated by Menomonie Market Food Coop. Space is limited, so secure your spot today! Beginners welcome.

Cost: $10. To make this event accessible to all income levels, there is a free option on the registration form. Please select this option if the $10 cost of this event would be a barrier to your participation. No questions asked.

What to bring: Dress in layers and for the weather. Wear sturdy footwear; we will be traversing some hills and possible uneven ground. A few binoculars will be available for use, but please bring your own binoculars and bird guide if you have them.
