Landmark Conservancy is pleased to share that we have successfully purchased Pine Coulee with generous support from public and private grantors and community members. Thank you to everyone who made the permanent protection of this property possible for current and future generations!

Pine Coulee Nature Preserve is a 73-acre property located within the City of Prescott and the Town of Oak Grove. The Preserve’s namesake (Pine Coulee) comes from its scenic, rocky gorge that an intermittent stream runs through before entering the Mississippi River. This rock outcrop is visually striking and has attracted curious visitors to the area for over 100 years.

Together with our partners, Friends of Freedom Park and Coulee River Trails, we are excited to invite the public to visit the Preserve this summer. Thank you for your patience as we work through details related to parking and public access. We will share an announcement when more information is available!

Over time, we anticipate modest improvements to the Preserve to accommodate visitors, protect its natural features, and share the uniqueness of this special place in the Confluence region.
