Pam Foster-Felt on hike in Winter

Pam joined the Board of Directors in 2024.

Pam’s favorite way to be outside is on a long trail run…or a long cross-country ski…or a long afternoon puttering around in her garden, or… There are so many more things to add to that list of favorites. She’s always happy to be in (non-motorized) motion outside. And because that’s true, she is unable to claim a favorite season, but she does love a freezing, bright, snow-covered winter day more than a lot of people do!

Pam is drawn to Landmark’s work, and all land trusts’ work, because they’re prepared to play the long game. She believes there certainly is an urgency around the conservation of important places, but land trusts operate with “forever” as their timeline and have an inherent patience.

“It’s satisfying to be part of an organization committed to careful planning and thoughtful investment in future successes that none of us on the board or staff right now will live to experience,” she said.

“I am excited to be on the board because I recently left a 20-year career in land conservation for a new job and big professional change and I miss it!  This role with Landmark keeps me connected to work and the great conservation community in Wisconsin.”
